Pryor High School's Innovation Center welcomed student leaders and advisors from across the Northeast Region as it hosted a regional Technology Student Association Lead Conference on Thursday, October 2nd. The one-day leadership training event was held at the MidAmerica Industrial Park Expo Center.

The TSA Lead Conference is a crucial early-year training opportunity specifically designed for TSA chapter officer teams and their advisors. The primary goal of the conference is to equip student officers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to effectively lead their local chapters throughout the school year.

What Attendees Experienced at the Conference: Participants engaged in a focused workshop environment, collaborated with other officer teams, and received targeted guidance on key leadership and organizational tasks. The training sessions covered various vital topics for a successful TSA chapter, including:

  • Officer Duties and Teamwork: Clarified roles and developed a cohesive leadership unit.

  • Program of Work Development: Began the process of creating the annual calendar and goals for their chapter

  • Effective Meetings: Learned and practiced parliamentary procedure for productive chapter meetings

  • Competitive Event Strategies: Discussed competitive events and prepared for success at upcoming regional and state competitions.
